Cookies and Similar Technologies

To enhance your experience on our Sites, we may employ technologies such as cookies, web beacons, and similar tools. These technologies help us in several ways, including performing analytics, analyzing traffic, personalizing content, providing various features and functionality, and displaying ads tailored to your interests. Below are some essential points about these technologies.

Cookies and Web Beacons
Cookies act as identification cards for your computer, uniquely identifying your browser and its activities when you visit a website. Web beacons work in tandem with cookies to “read” the information stored in them. They help websites recognize specific cookies associated with your browser, ultimately improving your browsing experience. It is important to note that while we may recognize your browser through cookies, we cannot identify you by your name, email, or other personally identifiable information.

Collection of Information
When you use our Sites, we collect information like your IP address, web browser details, mobile network information, and browsing behavior. This data helps us create a more enhanced shopping experience. For instance, it allows us to remember your shopping cart selections when you navigate away and then return to the order page, or to save items for later when you’re not ready to make a purchase. Cookies also enable us to recognize you as an account holder when you revisit our Sites. We consider these types of cookies necessary for the successful operation of our business, Sites, and Services.

Managing Cookies
While most browsers automatically accept cookies, you can block or delete them at any time to prevent the collection of your browsing information for purposes such as delivering interest-based ads and tracking visitor behavior. However, please be aware that blocking or deleting cookies may disable or interfere with shopping features on our Sites and other websites you visit.

If you would like to learn more about how Google utilizes the information collected through this service, you can reference the Partners section of Google’s privacy policy.

Usage and Device Information Collection
We, along with our third-party partners and service providers, employ tracking technologies to automatically gather usage- and device-related information. This includes:

Device and Software Information. We collect details about your device and its software, such as your IP address, browser type, Internet service provider, device type, model, manufacturer, operating system, date and time of your visit, and a unique identifier that helps us distinguish your browser or account. This unique identifier may be a persistent device identifier or an advertising ID. We also collaborate with third-party partners to use technologies, including statistical modeling tools, that enable us to recognize and connect with you across multiple devices.

Mobile Device Information. When you access our Sites from a mobile device, we may collect unique identification numbers associated with your device or our mobile application. This can include your UDID (Unique Device Identifier), Google Advertising ID (GAID), Windows Advertising ID, mobile carrier, device type, device model, manufacturer, mobile device operating system details (brand, model), phone number, and, depending on your mobile device settings, geographical location data. This location data may include GPS coordinates (e.g., latitude and/or longitude) or approximate device location determined by analyzing other information, such as your IP address.

Access and Usage Information. We gather information about how you access and use our Services. This encompasses the website you came from and the one you go to after leaving our Sites, the specific pages you visit, the links you click, your interactions with emails (e.g., whether you open them or click embedded links), whether you access our services from multiple devices, and other actions you take on our Sites.

Analytics Data. To measure traffic and usage trends for our Services and gain insight into user demographics, we may collect analytics data or utilize third-party analytics tools such as Google Analytics.

We leverage the data collected through tracking technologies for various purposes, including:

User Experience Enhancement. We use your information to remember data so you don’t have to re-enter it during your current or subsequent visits, thereby streamlining your experience.

Customized Content and Advertising. Your information enables us to provide personalized content, including targeted advertisements that match your interests.

Cross-Device Identification. We can identify you across multiple devices, ensuring a consistent experience.

Service Effectiveness. We monitor the effectiveness of our Services, analyze aggregate metrics (e.g., total visitors, traffic, usage, and demographic patterns), diagnose and resolve technical issues, and plan enhancements to our Services.

Please note that this information is used in an aggregated and anonymized form whenever possible to protect your privacy and improve our Services.

Third-Party Tracking and Online Advertising
We may collaborate with third-party online advertising networks, social media companies, and other third-party services to share information about your usage of our Sites over time. This data helps these parties display ads that align with your interests on other websites, apps, or devices you may use. Typically, this shared information is conveyed through cookies or similar tracking technologies that recognize the device you’re using and collect details like hashed data, clickstream information, browser type, the time and date of your website visits, and more. The purpose of this information is to deliver targeted advertisements within our Services and/or on external platforms.

We or these online advertising networks employ this data to make online ads more relevant to your interests. We may also utilize social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter, Google, and others to deliver targeted advertising to you. These platforms offer interest-based advertising programs, allowing us to display ads to users who have demonstrated interest in our services or our clients’ services while using the social media platform. This approach may also apply to groups of users who share similar characteristics, such as commercial interests or demographics. The privacy policies of these social media companies govern the advertisements they provide.

Google Analytics and Advertising
We may utilize specific forms of display advertising and advanced features through Google Analytics, including:

Remarketing with Google Analytics. This feature enables us to use first-party cookies (like the Google Analytics cookie) and third-party cookies (such as the DoubleClick advertising cookie) or other third-party cookies together to inform, optimize, and display ads based on your previous visits to our services.

Google Display Network Impression Reporting. This feature offers insights into the performance of our display ad campaigns across the Google Display Network, helping us understand how users engage with our ads.

Google Analytics Demographics and Interest Reporting. This feature provides demographic and interest data about our website visitors to help us better understand our audience and tailor our content accordingly.

You have the ability to control your advertising preferences and opt out of certain Google advertising products. You can manage your preferences by visiting the Google Ad Center. Additionally, you can explore opt-out options provided by the Network Advertising Initiative (NAI).

Please note that opting out of these practices does not mean that you will no longer see advertisements from us or while using our Services. Instead, it ensures that the online ads you encounter from participants in the Digital Advertising Allience (DAA) are not based on your interests. We are not responsible for the effectiveness of, or compliance with, any third-party opt-out options or programs, nor are we responsible for the accuracy of their statements about these programs. Moreover, third parties may continue to use cookies for various purposes, such as analytics and fraud prevention, as permitted by the DAA’s Self-Regulatory Principles.

Our systems do not currently acknowledge general Do Not Track signals. However, some third-party advertising companies that use cookies on our websites to deliver interest-based advertising provide you with the option to opt out of these practices.

You can block or opt out of cookies or data collection for interest-based advertising by adjusting your browser settings. For instructions on how to do this, consult your browser’s technical information. If you are using a mobile device, features such as “Limit Ad Tracking” and “Opt Out of Ad Personalization” are available on iOS and Android, respectively, which allow you to opt out of having certain information collected via mobile apps for behavioral advertising purposes. If you block cookies at the browser level or switch to a different computer or browser to access our Sites, we recommend reviewing your cookie settings again.

The placement of cookies, pixels, GIFs, or web beacons may be subject to additional legal requirements based on your location. These requirements may involve mandating us to share specific technical information, requiring your explicit opt-in consent for their use, or supporting specific mechanisms for you to opt out.

Control Over Your Information

You have the right to request that Dressin disclose certain information about the collection of your personal information. Once we receive and confirm your verifiable consumer request, we will provide the requested disclosure.

Right to Correct or Delete
You can review, modify, or delete your account or profile information. Some personal information may not be accessible or modifiable. If you want to request access to, or the correction or deletion of, personal information that is not modifiable through your account settings, you can visit our Privacy Rights Request Center. We will review your request, which may require additional information for identification purposes. However, requests are not guaranteed to be granted.

Right to Opt Out of Marketing Communications
You have the right to opt out of marketing-related messages. You can do this by following the applicable procedure to unsubscribe, such as clicking an unsubscribe link in an email, replying with “STOP” to text messages, or adjusting your user account preferences.

Right to Opt Out of Profiling
Residents of Colorado, Connecticut, and Virginia have the right to opt out of automated processing (“Profiling”) performed on personal information that evaluates, analyzes, or predicts personal aspects related to various factors. This right applies to non-targeted advertising activities. Please note that opting out of Profiling may result in a less personalized experience.

Right to Opt Out of Selling Personal Information
Residents of certain states, like California and Virginia, have the right to opt out of having their personal information sold. We do not engage in the “sale” of personal information in the traditional sense (i.e., exchanging such information for money). However, we acknowledge that privacy laws may define “sale” or “personal information” in ways that could encompass sharing identifiers and inferences with partners, third parties, and affiliates. If your state allows you to opt out of such “sales,”  you can exercise this right by clicking the Manage Cookies button found in the footer of our Sites. This consent tool allows you to opt out of cookies on our Sites.

These rights are designed to empower you to have more control over your personal information and how it is used by Dressin. If you have specific requests related to any of these rights, you should follow the provided procedures or contact our customer support team for assistance. Keep in mind that the availability and scope of these rights may be subject to applicable laws and regulations in your jurisdiction.

Security Statement

Dressin has implemented various safeguards to protect your personal information, but it is important to understand that no data collection, storage, or transmission method can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. Dressin employs reasonable physical, technical, and administrative measures to help keep your information safe. These measures may include encryption and other techniques designed to reduce the ability to identify an individual.

Below are some key points about safeguarding your personal information.

Access to Personal Information
Personal information may be accessed by individuals within Dressin’s organization, third-party service providers, or other parties mentioned in the Privacy Policy who require access for  the purposes outlined in the policy or as permitted or required by applicable law.

Data Handling Location
Personal information collected for North and South America is managed from Dressin’s headquarters in San Francisco.

Security Guarantee
Dressin does not guarantee the security of any data you transmit to us, including data sent over the Internet or other networks. While we do employ security measures, there is always a risk involved in data transmission.

Password Protection
Dressin recommends taking steps to protect against unauthorized access to your password, phone, and computer. This includes signing out after using a shared computer, using strong and unique passwords, and keeping your login information private.

Password Management
When you register on one of Dressin’s Sites, you will need to set up a password. You have the ability to cancel or change your password through your account settings. Dressin will never ask customers to confirm account or credit card details via email, so be cautious if you receive such requests.

Data Retention

Dressin stores your personal information in compliance with applicable laws and as required to fulfill the purpose for which the data is processed. This may include retaining data for purposes such as meeting retention obligations, recordkeeping, or other commercial requirements.

It is important to take your own precautions to protect your sensitive information and be aware of potential phishing attempts. Dressin is diligent in our efforts to safeguard your information, but user awareness and responsible data handling are also essential to maintaining security.

Dressin retains your personal information for the period(s) necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in our Privacy Policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law for auditing, compliance, or other legal purposes. To determine the appropriate retention period, Dressin considers several factors, including:

1. The amount, nature, and sensitivity of the data.
2. The potential risk of harm from unauthorized use or disclosure of the data.
3. The purposes for which the data is processed.
4. Whether those purposes can be achieved through other means.
5. Applicable legal requirements.

At the end of the retention period, unless otherwise required by applicable law, Dressin will either remove your personal data from our systems and records or take appropriate steps to properly anonymize, de-identify, or destroy it, as mandated by law. This approach ensures that your personal information is not retained for longer than necessary and aligns with data protection principles and regulations.

Social Media and Third-Party Links

We understand that many of our consumers use and appreciate social media tools, which is why we incorporate links to various social media platforms into our Sites and other digital offerings. Additionally, for your convenience, and to provide you with valuable information, we may include links to external websites or incorporate features powered by third parties on our Sites. Please be aware that these third-party websites or features may have privacy policies that differ from our own.

While we clearly identify features and links that originate from third parties, it is important to note that we do not assume responsibility for the content or practices of any linked websites. We strongly recommend that you carefully review the privacy policy of any site or feature accessed through our Sites and Services before sharing your personal information. Additionally, understanding your privacy settings is crucial, as they determine the extent to which your personal information may be used, shared, or made public.

Transfers of Personal Data

This Privacy Policy is exclusively applicable to residents of the United States. Additionally, when utilizing our Services, please be aware that your personal data may be accessed in or transferred to locations beyond the borders of the United States. It is important to acknowledge that these countries may have data protection laws that offer a lower level of protection compared to the regulations in your home jurisdiction. To manage these data transfers, we adhere to suitable safeguards in accordance with relevant legal requirements and industry standards.

If you would prefer to prevent the transfer, processing, access, or maintenance of your information outside the United States, we recommend discontinuing your use of our Services immediately.

Privacy of Children

Our Services are designed for individuals aged 16 and older, and we do not knowingly solicit or collect personal information from children under the age of 16. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected personal information from a child under 16, we will take prompt steps to delete that information from our records. If you believe that we may have collected information from a child under 16, please contact us using the information provided at the end of this Privacy Policy. Your cooperation in helping us maintain the privacy and safety of children is greatly appreciated.

Notice to California Residents

Privacy Rights Under Specific U.S. State Privacy Laws
This additional notice specifically pertains to residents of California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, and Utah who have engaged with our services as outlined in the introduction of this Privacy Policy and who possess particular privacy rights as prescribed by their respective state laws (namely, the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018 as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act; the Virginia Consumer Data Protection Act; the Colorado Privacy Act; the Connecticut Data Privacy Act; and the Utah Consumer Privacy Act, collectively referred to as “Specific State Privacy Laws”).

Data Collection
For details on how we acquire personal information and the information we disclose, as well as to review this information, please consult the Collection of Information, Use of Collected Information, and Information Shared with Third Parties sections of this Privacy Policy. We will not gather additional categories of personal information or employ the personal information we have gathered for substantially different, unrelated, or incompatible purposes without first informing you.

Handling Your Sensitive Personal Information
For California residents, we neither collect nor process sensitive personal information, as outlined by California law, for the purpose of deducing traits or for any use or disclosure of sensitive personal information beyond what is legally allowed.

Sharing of Personal Information
We share your personal information with third parties for various business purposes. When we share personal information with a third party for a business purpose, we establish a contract that outlines the purpose and mandates that the recipient maintain the confidentiality of that personal information and use it solely as specified in the contract. To examine the categories of third parties with whom we have shared personal information in the past 12 months, please refer to the section of this Privacy Policy titled Information Shared with Third Parties.

Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information
In accordance with specific state privacy laws, the definition of “sale” is broad and encompasses many common business activities, even when personal information is not exchanged for money or has been partially de-identified. Dressin shares contact information (such as email addresses), network activity (like cookie IDs), device identifiers, and inferences (such as customer segments) for data analytics purposes, including fraud detection, marketing, and advertising. This is done, for example, to gain a better understanding of consumer engagement with our brand, to match you with similar products you may also be interested in, to provide advertising for Dressin products across the different devices you use, and to identify other consumers with similar interests who may also be interested in our products.

Under Virginia law, “selling” refers exclusively to the exchange of your personal information for monetary compensation. Dressin does not exchange your personal information with third parties for money for independent business purposes such as marketing or advertising.

We do not “sell” or “share” sensitive personal information as defined under specific state privacy laws.

Under California law, “share” or “sharing” refers to the act of sharing, renting, releasing, disclosing, disseminating, making available, transferring, or otherwise communicating your personal information to a third party for cross-context behavioral advertising, in exchange for monetary or other valuable consideration. Other states’ privacy laws may not employ the term “sharing” but instead describe a narrower concept related to processing for targeted advertising. When we use the terms “share” and “sharing” here, we intend to encompass both the California definition and the concept of targeted advertising as described in the privacy laws of other states.

You have the option to opt out of selling or sharing activities by following our established process for the Right to Opt Out of Selling Personal Information. This can be done by clicking on Cookie Preferences or by enabling an opt-out preference signal through a browser or plug-in. Please note that if we can only identify your device or browser, we will only be able to apply the request to that specific device or browser, and opting out in these circumstances will only affect cookie- and/or pixel-based selling and sharing.
